St. George & St. Andrew United Church is an Affirming Congregation and proudly states so on its church sign outside!
At a celebration held at the church on Thursday, September 22, 2022, we officially became an Affirming Congregation and a member of Affirm United.

After a 2-year process of education, training and reflection, we were recognized as an Affirming Congregation. What does "Affirming" mean? In a nutshell, it means that we don't just accept folks who identify LGBTQ2* , it's a statement that without each other we would not be complete and need one another.
On July 9th, 2022 members from St. George & St. Andrew United Church proudly marched for the first time in the town’s
Pride Parade, carrying their new banner proclaiming that “Everyone is welcome”.
We just wrapped our participation in the successful 2025 Pride Parade, and more initiatives are brewing. So check our Facebook page every now and then for more information (link below)!
