Church Choir
Throughout the year our church choir leads the congregation in singing up to five hymns in a service. Most Sundays, except in the summer, they also sing an anthem — a specially rehearsed piece of music that they sing on their own before the sermon. They also provide special music for Christmas and Easter and occasionally for special events.
If you would like to join the church choir (usually 12+ singers) you will be expected to show up for regular rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons, and on Sunday mornings before our church service. It helps if you are able to read music, but it's no absolute requirement.
We are fortunate to have the wonderful sound of an Opus 28 pipe organ, and a Choir Director who knows how to bring out the best from both choir and organ.
If you love to sing and would like to know more about our choir, please contact our choir director Michael McKay.
